The Maharashtra government is gearing up to launch a significant statewide initiative, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, set to take place from August 9 to August 15. This patriotic endeavor, which will see the national flag being hoisted at 2.5 crore homes across the state, was finalized during a recent cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

The campaign’s state-level inauguration will occur on August 9 at the historic August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai, with both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in attendance. The event marks the start of a series of activities aimed at instilling national pride and unity.

Key Details of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is set to be a massive celebration of India’s national flag. During the week-long campaign, residents of Maharashtra will be encouraged to participate in various activities designed to promote patriotism and respect for the Tricolour.

“The Cultural Affairs Department has been appointed as the nodal department for this initiative,” according to an official statement. These activities aim to bring people together in a shared expression of national pride. The district-level events will also be conducted with the participation of respective guardian ministers, further amplifying the campaign’s reach and impact.

The climax of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will occur on August 13, 14, and 15, when flags will be hoisted at homes across Maharashtra. “The state government encourages all citizens to participate actively and make this campaign a grand success,” said a government spokesperson.
