Kanpur: The Ahmedabad-bound Sabarmati Express encountered a derailment near Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and early Saturday morning. Despite the incident, no injuries were reported among the passengers.
The derailment occurred at around 7:10 AM near the Rura railway station, approximately 40 kilometers from Kanpur. According to railway officials, three coaches of the train went off the tracks, but prompt action by the railway staff ensured that the situation was quickly brought under control.
Passengers were safely evacuated from the affected coaches, and arrangements were made to transport them to their destinations. Railway authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the derailment. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to restore normal rail traffic in the area.
