Munjya Soars Past ₹50+ Crore: Sharvari wagh's Film Continues Its Box Office Magic

“Munjya,” starring Sharvari Wagh, is making waves at the box office. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film garnered ₹8.50 crore on its tenth day, as reported by Sacnilk. This brings the total collection to an impressive ₹53.80 crore. As the third installment in producer Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, following the successes of “Stree” and “Bhediya,” “Munjya” is delighting audiences with its unique blend of humor and thrills.
The film features Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh in leading roles. The plot centers around Abhay’s character, Bittu, who inadvertently unleashes a ghost named Munjya when he visits his ancestral village. Mona Singh also stars as Bittu’s mother, Pammi, adding depth to the family dynamics within the story.
Sharvari Wagh, who portrays Bela in “Munjya,” recently expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans. In an interview with ANI, she shared, “The amount of love that I have received from the audience is something for which I have been waiting for many years. I am out of words to thank the audience for going to the theaters and giving immense love to the movie. When I saw the movie in theaters with my mother, she told me that she was proud of me, and those words mattered to me a lot. I was overwhelmed by seeing the reaction of the audience after watching the film.”
Despite its commercial success, “Munjya” received mixed reviews from critics. NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 1.5 out of 5 stars, stating, “Munjya feels far longer than its two hours because the mumbo-jumbo that it foists upon us gives way frequently to difficult-to-digest twaddle. It centers on a battle between a creature from the netherworld and a youngster with nightmares that he cannot wrap his head around. People think he is on drugs. He has a hard time disputing their suspicion.”
Released on June 7, “Munjya” has been produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik’s Maddock Films, continuing their streak of successful and engaging cinematic experiences.
As “Munjya” continues to enchant audiences, it’s clear that Sharvari Wagh’s performance and the film’s unique storyline have struck a chord. Don’t miss your chance to experience this captivating horror comedy.
