PM Modi Oath Ceremony Live Updates: Narendra Modi took the oath as Prime Minister for an unprecedented third consecutive term, accompanied by 71 ministers, on Sunday evening.
In the new coalition government, President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to Narendra Modi, 30 Cabinet Ministers, five Ministers of State (independent charge), and 36 Ministers of State.
Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S. Jaishankar—all prominent members of the previous Modi cabinet—were sworn in again as Cabinet Ministers at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Narendra Modi created history by winning three consecutive terms. This is one of the achievements nobody achieved since former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s time.
Political veterans, business leaders, celebrities, and actors attended the ceremony.

JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy, HAM (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’, TDP’s K. Ram Mohan Naidu and LJP-RV leader Chirag Paswan took their oaths as Cabinet Ministers, each representing their respective parties in the coalition.

Among them were Sri Lanka’s President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Maldives’ President Mohamed Muizzu, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Seychelle’s’ Vice President Ahmed Afif, Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, and Mauritius’ Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth.
