Deepika Padukone Stuns with New Poster as 'Kalki 2898 AD' Trailer Release Date Announced

The filmmakers will release the much-anticipated trailer for the Prabhas-starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ today, June 10. The film, featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, has generated significant buzz. 

Prabhas is all set for the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, one of the most important films of his career. This high-profile project has captured attention, showcasing Prabhas in a grand, larger-than-life role. On Wednesday, April 5, the creators of this pan-India film announced that the official trailer would debut on June 10.

The creators said, “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas as Bhairava, will be a game-changer for Indian cinema,” and emphasized the film’s cutting-edge promotional campaign. They promised audiences a glimpse into a ‘new world’ and revealed that the trailer would be released on June 10.

Inside the World of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

Nag Ashwin directs ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ a sci-fi action drama set in a futuristic realm. It features Prabhas as Bhairava, marking his first collaboration with the ‘Mahanati’ director. The storyline revolves around a battle between ‘light’ and ‘darkness’. Deepika Padukone stars as the leading lady, making her debut in Telugu cinema with this film. The star-studded cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Kamal Haasan recently disclosed his cameo role in the movie, hinting that he portrays the main antagonist in a significant 20-minute appearance. 

This marks Prabhas’ first release of the year following the success of ‘Salaar’, directed by Prashanth Neel. In ‘Salaar’, Prabhas played a mechanic with a turbulent past, and the film achieved commercial success and earned widespread acclaim.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is ready to hit cinemas on June 27.
