Pune Porsche Tragedy: In a shocking twist to the fatal Porsche accident in Pune, authorities have arrested two doctors from Sasoon General Hospital for falsifying the blood test report of a minor driver involved in the deadly crash. The 17-year-old, who was driving his father’s Porsche, struck and killed two young techies on May 19.

Authorities accuse Dr. Ajay Tawade, head of the forensic lab, and Dr. Hari Harnor of swapping the minor’s blood sample to conceal his intoxication at the time of the incident. Police investigations revealed phone records indicating that Dr. Tawade was in contact with the boy’s father, Vishal Agarwal, a real estate developer, shortly after the accident.

Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar confirmed that the minor caused the accident while heavily intoxicated. In a separate development, authorities arrested the boy’s grandfather for wrongfully confining the family driver, who allegedly coerced him into taking the blame for the accident in exchange for money.

Both the boy’s father and grandfather are facing charges under IPC sections 365 (kidnapping with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine a person) and 368 (wrongfully concealing or keeping in confinement). Additionally, authorities have charged Vishal Agarwal under the Juvenile Justice Act for endangering a minor by allowing him to drive without a license.

Initially, the Juvenile Justice Board granted the minor bail, instructing him to write an essay on road safety. However, public outrage and a police review led to his detention in an observation home until June 5.

Contradictory Evidence

Despite the manipulated blood report showing no alcohol, CCTV footage from a bar the boy visited on the night of the accident confirmed he had been drinking with friends. The crash, which occurred at speeds exceeding 200 km/h, resulted in the instant deaths of the two techies. Witnesses described the horrific scene, stating that one victim, Ashwini, was thrown 20 feet into the air, while the other, Aneesh, was hurled into a parked car, both succumbing to their injuries immediately.
